Default HELP! Toolex 14" Bandsaw Spare Parts

The subject unit in my workshop has had a failure of the die cast upper wheel hinge arm assembly. The alignment arm has cracked through the diecast just south of the upper wheel shaft giving me no wheel alignment.

Anyone know where I might get one? The P/No is 533101 and the part I need is A100019. I'm told the manufacturer has gone out of business and spares are scarce - bloody WFC!!!

Can post a diagram if needed.

    Jamie

My (limited) experience says there is no parts or service backup for machinery and tools at the lower end of the market.
But, Northwood Tools bring in a range of gear, including bandsaws, under the Toolex brand.

Give Colin at Northwood a call. He can give you the yes, no, or maybe.

    Jamie,
Try Hare and Forbes or Carbatec and there may be others. If it is the cast iron saw I am thinking of it comes under so many brand many brand names it is easy to get parts for. Take in the broken part to get a match.

Did you try Gasweld in Newcastle, they are the head office for Toolex brand, I think.

Many thanks to all who offered help.

In no direct order I can advise the following:

Gasweld in Newcastle were referred to me by the guys at Northwood tools. They sent me the manual and exploded parts list with the advice that the manufacturer had gone under and there was no early likelyhood of spares being available.

I looked at trying to get it welded or indeed profile cut in steel and machined to replace it. Starting to get $$$$'sy

Rang Gary Pye before I saw Rohan's post and he was able to supply the part with the part number on it from stock. $14.00. A standard Jet spare!!

Minor problem - they have moved to metric dimensions since my baby was born so it required a little filing and drilling to fit it. Had to use the old shaft as the new one was about a 1/4" short!

All up and running like a watch now - thanks again to all those who offered their help.
