Minimum wheel diameter for TCT bandsaw blades
I understand that the thickness (gauge) of a TCT blade is thicker than a normal blade. This means there would be greater metal fatigue and earlier breakage on smaller wheels. So, does that mean a minimum wheel diameter is indicated for TCT blades? For those of you who use TCT blades what is the wheel diameter of your bandsaw? And have you experienced any problems with metal fatigue and breakages. Also, how many sharpenings do you get out of a blade? Looking forward to your responses.

Hi,
Laguna make a 3/4" TCT blade for 14" wheel bandsaws.
These are very thin blades which allows the use on smaller wheels.
You can get them in Australia from Gregory Machinery.
I don't know of any others but you could check with someone like Henry Bros.
They will know.
