Rikon 10-342 or 10-353?
I'm wanting a bandsaw for mainly cutting up hardwood logs, eg. gidgee, mulga, Qld walnut/maple,Tas Blackwood. Mostly straight ripping for spindles but I also want plenty of height capacity, at least 280mm for resawing boards for string instruments. I'm thinking the 3HP motor of the 10-353 is more value than the extra width of an 18", though I would be looking to use 1" blades for resawing which I believe sit better on an 18" wheel.
Has anyone got either of these two saws and can comment on their happiness with them? Or suggest a better bandsaw for a similar price?

My 2bob....
I would say that if you don’t have 5hp , you have lots of bad cuts and lots of swearing and sweat , I would say that 5hp 3phase will serve you well , upto 200’mm deep cut, and then I would recommend a 30mm bi-metal blade as a minimum...

Sure, if money was unlimited 5HP 3phase would be the choice.
What I'm finding amazing is how little effort retailers and manufacturers put into marketing bandsaws via videos. When researching most other tools there are oodles of good videos.
