Woodfast Junior Bandsaw- lower guide
I have an old Woodfast Junior Bandsaw that only has an upper guide.
There are no obvious mounting points for a lower guide.
I am wondering whether some models came out with only the upper one?
Otherwise it would be great to have some photos of what the setup looks like, so l could possibly make one.
Also does anyone have the blade length handy?
Cheers
Pete

Thanks for the replies China and Rick
I did have a read of Buellers thread before l posted this. His bandsaw has a boss and hole in the casting for mounting the lower guide.
The casting on my bandsaw doesn't have this boss, and there isn't an obvious mounting point for a lower guide. I am just wondering if some models weren't fitted with lower guides
Cheers

Contact Steve or Graham at Woodworking Solutions, which used to be Woodfast. They may have some paperwork. manuals etc. which may be of some help.
Both have been involved with Woodfast for quite some time, and may possibly remember some details.
To get the length of the blade measure the centre distance of the wheels 22" and measure the circumference of 1 wheel = 33"
33" plus distance 22" X 2 = 44" = 77" = 1925mm
NOTE these figures are just pulled out of thin air, no calculations were done.
