    Default Woodslicer bandsaw blades

Has anyone tried woodslicer bandsaw blades from Highland Woodworking in the US? I currently use bi-metal blades from Henry Brothers but these woodslicers get good press but I havn't seen much about their use in Australia. I am always on the lookout for something new and these blades are supposed to be very quiet, have a thin kerf and produce a very smooth cut.

    Default woodslicer

Yep, they are a very good blade, I have used them and they are quiet, thin, sharp and give a smooth finish, if used for cutting clean medium density woods they should give good service life, if u are going to cut old reclaimed dry as hardwood, they will but the edge will soon go and they will be no better than anything else, I have resawed 10" wide old dry step treads using a 3/4 wide woodslicer, it did it but once the quietness goes and they start to squeal
I reserve these blades for cutting thin slices/veneers, but as with all things the bandsaw needs to be well tuned to see the benefit.
