Thread: Replacing batteries on panasonic cordless

I have a set of Panasonic cordless phones. I'm very happy with them, long range and clear. But the batteries have had it and they are special batteries. I can buy them on ebay but I have had bad experiences with buying batteries from "unknown" retailers. A while ago I bought some rechargeable's from a website, they included AA and AAA's. They claimed to be 2450mAhrs and 900 respectively and when they finally arrived. I put them on the charger/tester. They showed 100 and 20 mAhrs instead and they were extremely light. I was able to get my money back but I'm not keen to get batteries from unknown sources.
So I made a small adaptation with the insertion of a very small block of wood glued with some aluminium tape. Now I can use standard AAA batteries that I can get from anywhere (I like the Ikea ones). So far they have been really good.
