Thread: birds eye rosewood

This slab of birdseye new guinea rosewood would suit the woodworker that wants to resaw into bookmatching boards for a special project.

Photos 3419-20-21 show the front of the slab - Photos 3422-23-24 show the back of the slab which includes a natural groove that intrudes into the slab by about 30mm.Groove only goes half way down the slab .behind this groove would be more birdseye.As the slab is 100 mm thick , it still allows a good recovery of some very figured boards when resawn.
