Maybe use someone else's
Hi Bob,
How many frames do you want to make? The guillotines are a very specialist unit that most of us do not use all the time, but they come into their own when we make frames etc. My wife is an artist so mine gets a fair bit of use for frames. I also use it for box liners and dividers etc. with very thin timber.
Now, I hope that some keen forumite is just waiting for the chance to sell you their guillotine, because they are a good tool to have.
I love my guillotine too much to part with it, but if you effectively only have a few hours need of one you may not need to buy one.
So, if no one offers to sell you one and you get desperate enough to make the trek to Brisbane I would be happy to let you use mine in my workshop for a few hours to make your frames. I rough saw frame mouldings on my table saw then final fit with the guillotine. There is a bit of an art to it.
I am available most weekends and could maybe fit in a morning during the week too.
David

Hi, the V nailer you're looking for is that a kick type or one used with a hammer? I'm pretty sure I've a hand one in the shed somewhere, if you're interested?

Hi Bob,
Your comment yes "i,m interested ,let me know what your asking for it ,thanks in advance bob" is that in answer to my comment on the V nailer or Sawdust Makers on the Mens Shed?

the V nailer ,sorry for the confusion ,got this today at a really good price,am having a little trouble getting my leg high enough to push the pedal down (double knee replacement) so may still have to get a hand cutter instead.......bob

Got an idea I paid around $50 for it, so make me an offer. In regard to the cutter, try getting/making a box to lift yourself up that bit?

That's nice looking Morso foot op machine, there I was for second thinking I may be able to offload 1 of my elec Morso's.
ps. a good saw will do a better job for the more ornate mouldings. For simple profiles the foot jobby will do fine, a pnuematic underpinner if you can get one cheap will be a godsend for joining (casesse 89)
