Carbatec 6"/9" Belt/Disc Sander - $130.00
Not an auction.
It's time to clear some more shed space so I'm selling my 2002 Carbatec AS-609 (very similar specs to the current BDS-1523H) simply because I don't use it anymore. It has been a great machine though.
It has the usual tilting table for the disc section, while the belt section can also be used horizontally or vertically.
I'll admit that the disc table can be a little wobbly and takes a bit of setting and checking to get/keep right, but that is an inherent design flaw rather than wear or damage.
It comes with a few old belts (100, 40, 40, 40, 40, 100, 120 (damaged)) and a smaller 60 grit hook&loop disc w/backing attached.
I didn't use them, but some of the belts seemed to slip a little...that may just be because they're old - they came with it when I bought it SH years ago.
The newer 120 runs fine but it has lost some of its width and is pretty worn.
The graphite slip cloth is in great condition and isn't showing any significant wear, but there is a small 20 cent piece sized ding at one of the very ends...nothing dramatic and not where one would be sanding on.
It also has the end stop piece, but I've never attached it.
No mitre gauge I'm afraid.
Prefer pick up from Ballarat area (Cardigan Village), but I'm open to negotiating fuel money for a confirmed purchase within a reasonable area (Melb/Geelong...100km or so).Last edited by RedShirtGuy; 22nd February 2017 at 04:05 PM. Reason: Corrected condition of slip cloth

Do you still have this? My dad may like this and if not, I may. He is in Ballarat (Golden Square) and I am only an hour away (Ararat).
