    Default Double ended tack remover

I am looking to replace my stolen double ended tack remover, I always called it the "jimmy". Don't know the brand and don't have a picture. Cast metal, (not flat bar), silver and between 250mm and 290mm in length. Had it for about 30 years and really would like to replace it as I need it for my work. If you have one or know somebody with one please contact me. Thanks, Mike

Not double ended, but it may be of interest.

It is a curse when someone nicks your favourite tools isn't it! I was recently looking to replace a single ended one with a wooden handle (lost in the flood, not stolen) and went to Bunnings here in Brisbane. They didn't have what I wanted but had two double ended ones including one that was cast or forged and sounds like the one that you describe. I'll take a photo and post it later. It was about $25 from memory.

    Regards

    David
