Default Two Liogier Rasps - brand new - LEFT HANDED - Hand Stitched (cut)

I have two Liogier rasps which are both LEFT handed, and Sapphire coated.
Both are brand new, in fact only received today (an ordering error has lead to this sale).

    First:
    Cabinet Maker's 250mm (10")
    #9 stitch, left handed (medium)
    Sapphire Coated
Buy it now for $145 plus post ($13.40 to anywhere in Oz, but less to Sydney)

See here. If you feed in the right parameters then you should see a price of €105.68 plus freight.
You can also see what the local retailer charges here (item F1182).

    Second:
    Modeller's 175mm (7")
    #13 stitch, left handed (fine)
    Sapphire Coated
Buy it now for $105 plus post ($8.25 to anywhere in Oz, but less to Sydney)

See here. If you feed in the right parameters then you should see a price of €81.32 plus freight.
You can also see what the local retailer charges here (item F1277).

They will be able to be posted together for the postage cost of the larger rasp.

You can pay by PayPal if you must, but add 3.5%, otherwise by Direct Deposit.

A search of the forums of "Liogier" will bring up a number of threads that will tell you how good these hand-stitched rasps are.

They look like this (slightly different model, with after-market handle):

For those interested in hand saw making I can personally vouch for the benefits of having the 7" Logiers Modellers Rasp to shape the handles. At 13 cut the seller chose well.

Steve, you can just say "I'll take it", unless of course you still want others to bid against you - fine by me.

What is the difference between a left and right handed rasp if they are a random hand stitch?? How would this affect a righty in use?

    I'll take them both

And yes, I'm a lefty, and a left handed rasp works well because of the direction your pulling and pushing from against the wood - same with right.

You will love them, from another lefty

Dale, you'll see for yourself in a few days - whilst they are randomly stitched (only slightly random) they are all pointing about 5° towards the right or left. This is because we tend not to push perfectly straight through the stroke, but with a slight bias towards our "hand".

Btw, I also received the Liogier version of the "49" rasp for assessment (sending it up to Ian).
