Maximum $8.25 (500g satchel), but may be very slightly cheaper as a parcel.

Xan and Slapfest, I hadn't intended for this to actually be an auction, and not quite sure what to do, so will seek your input (and will advise you both by PM).

To be fair, Xan was the first to enquire (postage), and I understand that people can't necessarily be on the forum when things happen. Furthermore, he wouldn't have seen that a bid was placed unless he specifically looked for one, given that I stated it was not an auction.

There is a pretty soft "out" though - I can get another one in about three months time and that would be $30 with a standard handle (i.e. not made by Ian Wilkie). I do have another one right now which had the superhard "Sapphire" coating applied to it as an experiment. I had my doubts about it being scratched off, despite the 3800 Vickers hardness of the coating, because it is run along a sharp edge. Indeed it does get scratched off but this has no impact on the effectiveness of the hook it creates. Probably the smart thing to do would be to sand off the coating from the corners and leave it on the body, as it prevents rust.

So, I can let one of you have that one if required. It also has a handle made by Ian, but can't remember the timber - all Ian's handles are really nice though.

Hi Brett,

Although I was first to respond with an inquiry, Slapfest was first to bid and I respect that, since it wasnt meant to be an auction, that means the burnisher should go to Slapfest. I already have a lovely Crown burnisher so I was just being greedy because I like Ian Wilkie's work as much as anything.
