Mine turned up yesterday too. And didn't even look like making it under the tree. Just wondering anything I should do/use for upkeep?
Thanks Ian.

Any wooden parts on tools in my tool-chest get an annual waxing - at least once every 3 years or so....
The finish on these gauges is pretty thin (you can't put much on the shaft, obviously, or they'd stick) but I've got some Bull oak gauges that were the first I used Shellawax on. They've been in constant use for over 20 years now, & they are holding up well, so I'm hopeful the gauges you folk have received will do likewise. Just use 'em frequently, I think skin oils are highly beneficial to wood.......
Cheers,IW

Hi Ian,
David brought in his hairy oak set last week, and I just wanted to drop you a line to say that they are absolutely gorgeous! What great work!
I'll have to keep my eye out for the next lot
Have a great Xmas / NY,
cheers
