Type 9 Bailey no7 Jointer Plane
Hey everyone,
Selling a Type 9 no7 "Bailey" Jointer Plane that I've been using for a while with good success, but I no longer work with large boards and don't really have need of it.
It's dated in between 1902 and 1907 (2 patent stamps,) has most of its japanning left and no deep or significant rust pitting, sole is in good condition and the mouth is quite fine and straight.
A few minor grooves in the fore of the sole where someone ran over a few nails many moons ago but they don't affect the plane's usability at all, frog is in good condition and the chipbreaker and cap work very nicely.
blade is a "pope" item and keeps a decent edge and the plane works great as a whole and hasn't ever required tuning for me.
Not too rushed to sell it, it's a great plane; but I'd have a lot more use for a good smoother these days instead of the jointer.

Hmmmm.... Really tempted. Whereabouts are you located? I live in Willunga but travel to Felixstow every day to work.

considering these types are selling in the US between $90 to $175 I think it's a pretty good deal.
