    I will wait and see how these Rifflers perform on those intricate areas of a closed backsaw handle, such as the lambs tongue and hounds tooth (nib). Appreciate your feedback. I will let you know how I go with the Rifflers.

    regards Stewie;
    Funny you should be getting those, I was about to suggest this one,

    For the extra sharp lambstongue, I still like the stanley knife.

    The new Logier Handle Makers Rasp; Sapphire Coated; 12 stitch arrived today. It has a much tighter curve in comparison to my earlier Gramercy version. The stitching is also of a much higher quality. I am looking forward to using it on the latest backsaw handle. http://www.hand-stitched-rasp-riffle...aker-rasp.html

    Peter. The pair of Auriou Rifflers I purchased recently work extremely well on those hard to get areas of a closed backsaw handle. The stitching leaves a reasonably smooth surface that require only light sanding afterwards to clean up. The octagonal shaping in the middle of the handle stems is also an excellent design feature. https://www.toolsforworkingwood.com/..._riffler_rasps

    I have some Swiss riffler rasps that I have not really used yet. I got them some years ago from the Swiss eBay seller when he was was inexpensive. Don't know the grain, I need to get them into action to see how they perform.

    The Auriou look very good, glad to hear they are working well.

    Hi Peter. I tried out the Logier Handle Makers Rasp today on the Tiger Myrtle Handle. The tighter curvature of the rasp is a much improved design feature. The sapphire coated 12 stitch also provides plenty of bite.
