Depend on which bank to what bank sometimes it can take up to 2 working days. Will advise when it comes through, no stress.

    Default Backsaw

I have to apologise but I won't be able to make it. I just got back sat from a week in the Flinders on a sheep station restoring a pug and pine cottage and I can't justify the cost of traveling to vic to SWMBO.
"Wouldn't you like to go to the vic markets"
    "no"
"with No 1 daughter. It would be fun"
    "no"
    "with No1 & 2 daughter"
    "no"
    what more could I do!.
So someone else will get to have the wonderful experience and I will have to be satisfied with reading about it.

So is that 12 paid up and 2 pending out of a possible 20 positions?

    Yep!

Need a full house to break even as it is being done at cost…The workshop registration covers the rent etc. People still signing up they are just coming in slower. It has only been six days.

5 People have declined and 5 others who originally expressed interest still haven't said either way from the forum. Had 28 people expressing interest so I did expect to reach the 20.

With more than six weeks to go I think you will get 20. Lots of people cant make plans that far in advance for various reasons.

You might also find that if you post a link to this thread in other parts of the forum there will be other members who do not look in "woodwork - general" who would not yet be aware the course is being run. Maybe a crosspost in "announcements" and a post in the "marketplace" for positions for sale on the course and you will fill it very quickly.

    Just a thought

Can anyone recomend some good digs close to where the workshop is being held?

I just finished child-proofing our house - but they still get inside.

Thanks Simplicity - at $355 for the two nights it's more expensive than the course though!

Yup, I got the short straw - ozhunter and I are sharing. Although I did survive a couple of nights with "Buzzsaw" Calvert a few years ago. Only thing that has me particularly worried is that ozhunter says he snores with a gearbox attached - can't wait for overdrive to kick in.

The Ibis in Glen Waverley is $241.50 by comparison - hey it's not even a room to sleep in - more like lie down and look at the ceiling by all accounts.

I have a supply of silicon putty earplugs....

It is with very great regret that I am unable to attend.

What was going to happen on another date has been shifted back to Friday the 8th, through to Monday the 11th.

Have a look for Chadstone Budget Motel on Wotif. It is in Dandenong Rd near Warrigal Rd so it is close to Holmesglen TAFE.

I am on the other side of town so do not know anything about quality etc but prices seemed reasonable..

Any sound proof booths? Doesn't matter about any road noise - it will pale to insignificance I'm told.
