beware the buyer
I recently purchased a bandsaw through the forum a larger than my 14 inch saw which was great but could not handle the resaw of hard aussie gums. Saw a machine advertised and upon inspection purchased it for a $1000.oo. I paid $125.00 to have it moved to my place and after using it a few times i was unhappy with the performance changed the blade and had trouble resetting it,as i was told the bearing was replaced on the bottom wheel i didn't know what to do. contacted a service mechanic who attended removed the bottom wheel had it remachined ,shimmed, new sleeve and bearings, and refitted replaced all blade guide bearings x6 and my ten year old machine now works well but has now cost$2000.oo which is about the cost of a new jet 18 in bandsaw. brit from brissie.
