sounds like he's done his share, you can still leave positive but mention what happened so others at least know.

Not the sellers fault if he posted it. Like notenoughtoys said, you could mention in your feedback that it got lost and suggest anyone else buying should insure the package.

I am about to loose the ability to leave feed back, what do you guys think of leaving neutral feed back and a note to say item did not arrive? Seller has sent image of docket he says is proof of postage, Toolhause shows about a dozen similar entries the rep is 100%

what do you think or will it make no difference?

My strategy in such cases is to not leave feedback at all.

This gives the seller the benefit of the doubt by not ruining their reputation. It also does not enhance their reputation yet avoids tit-for-tat retaliation against your own feedback.

Don't give up hope yet, I had a parcel go missing on ebay - resolved it and got a refund from Paypal.

Damn thing turned up 5 months after it was posted. It was more trouble trying to pay for it the second time as I had long ago wiped the details off the computer.

A friend had a lost parcel, someone thought Australia was Austria and it did a long trip via Europe and eventually arrived after months.

I would leave a negative feedback, it could harm their reputation and lose some customers (let others be aware) they will probably leave negative feedback in return. I do not care about negative feedback because they need me as a customer and without my money they wont make a profit.

Really weird things can happen with mail. Shouldn't occur with a parcel, but a former co-worker got a first-class letter posted about ten years previous. It bore a stamped message, something like "Found in equipment thought to be empty." One of their big storage bins, I guess. The weird part is it happens often enough to justify having a rubber stamp made.

Positive feedback means that you are happy with the transaction and with the goods you purchased. You didn't receive the goods so in reality you can't make that judgement. The feedback can neither be positive or negative, therefore:
