I think you have nailed it. The name of that seller is "Hotwheelsmom' Obliviously a purveyor of fine metrology gear.

Hadn't thought of that, but yes, it's a big load.

I see Tony's Lathes UK site doesn't have this machine.

It's a lot of good looking lathe for the money.

Bigger than I would want, but sounds like a good buy.

Looked at that last link and saw this lathe below it advertised as a "industrial lathe" which is the the same as my lathe. The are a good lathe but not something I would call industrial, what a bargain you can buy a new one with a stand for $3000 and he only wants $3000 for one without a stand and rust on the compound and what looks like on the ways as well, so much for new the chip tray tells another story though.

After perusing Ebay.De for the last few nights i have found many things worthy of putting here. I have even bought a couple.....As Greg said in the euro measuring thread most sellers will send to us even if they say they won't. Just ask the question and translate with google to German. I'm 3 for 3 on getting yes so far.

I think this gauge and stand is perfect entry level, or even for some of us tool freaks. As cheap as a chinese one from H&F only its a Mahr made in Germany... eBay Australia: Buy new & used fashion, electronics & home d

And if you are ready to venture beyond entry level the same seller may possibly entice you with a nice robust Fisso FISSO STRATO µLINE Magnetstativ Messstativ m. Zentralklemmung 444 mm für Messuhr | eBay

I bet Fisso will soon be on your saved search list Ew.

I don't think the mill is complete and may be missing the overarm arbor support.
The seller has numerous pictures but fails to show the upper half of the mill.
On one of the pictures you can just see the arbor but it doesn't show where the arbor support should be which would explains why he doesn'tthe top half.
The horizontal mill would be pretty useless without any arbor support with the long arbor supplied.

Edit . My bad, I had a closer look and it does have an overam arbor support. Still doesn't explain why no pictures of the upper half of the mill.
