Just out of interest, have you tried doing any free motion quilting? It could be nice to do some on the pale blue borders. Not saying it is necessary as such.....
    Cheers

    Hi Bronnie,

No haven't tried it as I haven't learnt how to do it. Sorry so long getting back to you.

As a variation on a theme - I have started (and nearly finished) a small quilt. I am making these for our church and we will give them away as Christmas presents to those in need.

Enjoy doing the Australian animals, photo attached.

    Bye for now

Oh, that is just lovely. What a lovely design.
One day you should take a class at your local quilt shop to do free motion quilting -it is such fun, and strangely enough, more accommodating to quilting mishaps whilst one is learning. Now, where do you live again? Is it Melbourne?

Nearly finished quilting a quilt myself, another couple of days should do it. Will post pix later.

    Have a great week

Oh no...I showed this to my wife. Now I have to buy her the book; which really puts the pressure on as I had promised to make her a pair of matching bookcases. The bookcases are a WIP, paused at the moment, due to a design modification....

    Ari,

That's good - not about the pressure - but your wife keen to get into the quilting and then you don't feel so guilty about getting out in the shed. Brownie points for the bookcases should last for a while. Works for me. (I'm into model making in the toy section) Do you have a thread on the bookcase build ? I won't show Cathie this reply.

    Regards

    Keith
