I went for a cruise on Saturday to keep myself amused and one of the places that I visited was Pearn's Steam world in the Northern Tasmanian town of Westbury. The Pearn brothers were a family of contractors/ farmers who saw the writing on the wall and decided to start collecting steam traction engines (mainly) while they were still around. The brothers are gone now but the collection is looked after by a group of volunteers. Sadly because of cost most items are not in steam but the collection is impressive anyway. I've put a few photos together of machines that grabbed my attention but there are plenty there to look at (2 Nissan huts full). One day when I have more time available I'm going back...

And a couple of novelties - a genuine furphy water tank and a baby caterpillar tractor.
