Quadrant checking fixture
Is anybody missing Wadkin quadrant or double mitre? I think I’ve come up with a plan to make old new again. I’m not exactly sure how to add pictures. But, in short time I think I’ll be doing a casting call for those interested.

Edit; I figured out the pictures.

If you had to pick the most absent item from any wadkin machine then that would be the one. I'm sure you'll get some takers Matt.

Hi Matt . Im interested in considering the double mitre . My PK is missing them and I failed at the first attempt at making a pair.
Nice checking tool ! I saw it on instagram but had no idea what it was for.
How finished is the double mitre going to be ? Just getting the castings are a great leap forward but
are you thinking of doing the missing set pin and the pivot pin as well as the knobs?

Hi,
Both my PKs are missing the quadrant. I’d be very keen to buy a set. What price did you have in mind?
Regards,
Raymond

Both my PKs?
What have you been up to Raymond?
I think I’ll have to drop in when I’m next up your way.
From what I remember from the Canadian site their casting costs were way cheaper than here in Sydney.

Matt
I have the double but would be very interested in a single quadrant.
I have been contemplating making a pattern and heading to the foundry myself.
Cheers
Tony

Of course, Henry. Pop by when you’re next up here. I’ve turned somewhat lazy and have one PK set up with the extension carriage/crosscut fence permanently set square and the other I use with a stand alone ripping blade - it’s much easier that way. Nevertheless having a quadrant would be a fantastic addition to add to the originality of the machine. Hopefully Matt Matt gets back to us all in Aus

Right now the quadrant checking fixture is making its rounds through the USA. Next it will be shipped home to Canada. I will be going to casting in about a week and a half for the PK & PP.
If there is any interest please send me a PM.
