Just putting in a nonsensical post so that I get an email notification when someone posts something in the thread. I once found another way to subscribe to a thread without making a post but it takes so long to find it again I just put a post in.
I got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.

doug, it is simple enough for you or me. At the top of the thread, between the thread title and first post, there are four dropdowns on the right side. The second, Thread Tools, has three items when it drops. The last is Subscribe to this thread. Click on it and you are subscribed.

Much quicker than typing something if you type like me.

As most of the attendees of this GTG would be aware, we have been having a few family issues over the past several months.

One of these is at a critical point right now with Jools's mum coming out of hospital tomorrow, following recent cancer surgery. She is coming to stay with us for a while and we are not sure how this will impact upon our social lives for the short term.

If we make it on the 26th we make it; if we don't - well it is what it is. Family always comes first. Although initial indications are that the surgery has been successful, it is early days yet and we really cannot commit to anything as a definite right now. Thanks in advance for everyone's understanding.

    Cheers

Just a quick update, Jools's mum is staying with us and is doing well.

Next week she gets the results of the biopsies of the tissue that was removed at the surgery.

After that we will have a better idea of what the future holds. That's all I know at this stage.

    Cheers

Doug, Thanks for the update. I hope the surgery is successful.
Please convey our best wishes to Jools and her mother.

    Hey

I still want to come and meet you guys but it won't be this time unfortunately.

I got an infection in my jaw bone after a root canal - got the tooth out a year ago now. After stuffing around with X-Ray's and specialists I have finally been put on strong antibiotics and even though the side of my face is getting less swollen I think the germs are coming out of my jaw and into my system. Cause I feel rotten.

The reason for explaining that is that I've been intending to come for a while but I'm reluctant to say I will in case I'm not well enough. I will turn up at some stage though.

Wow that post had a ridiculous amount of I's in it.

Have fun and take care all ✌
