I reckon I'll be there tomorrow morning. I'll take a look around and hang out for any demonstrations which peak my interest. Then I'll make tracks again to be back on the tools by 1-2pm'ish.

I’ll be up there on Sunday. I’m trying to find out if HNT will be around. I’m tossing up whether to buy one of his smoothing planes or get a Veritas Low angle jack plane. Still working out which would be the better plane for smoothing table tops etc. . Probably a better idea to get both.

Terry Gordon IS scheduled to be there and usually has planes to trial. It gets very busy on his stand though so you may have to wait a while?

I think that's a question for another thread as responses are likely to be long and numerous if it gets traction. Aside from the answer to the first part - yes Terry will be there.

    Cheers, Dom

Which is exactly why chose not to put in my 2c worth on that subject. I was hoping everyone else would do similar...

Awesome. I played with his planes last year but had too many questions to find answers for. I’ll keep searching for more answers between now and then. Looking forward to seeing what’s up there this year.

    Just back from the fair.
Really good to be there early. There was a huge car queue when I left, all the way to the Calder exit.
A lot of nice stuff (furniture, knives, shoes). Almost ordered some shoes. Asked a few questions to Gordon.
Did not stay long enough for the finishing demo by Steven something.

Yep, really great and even busier than last year IMO. I think I waited 30min to get to the Atm and paid $7- in fees, so I recommend taking cash.

Highlights for me was chatting to Glen Rundell and Greg Pennington about windsor chairs, chatting to and drooling over Terry/Colins stuff, watching Steven demonstrating french polishing and generally enjoying the crafts and atmosphere.

Also couldn't leave empty handed so picked up a small Lignum Vitae spokeshave from Terry and a nice block of marbled blackwood from Pete and larger piece of blackwood from Liam.

    Great day out.

Again a great show and it seemed bigger than when I was there two years go.
I heard they sold 10,000 pre booked tickets WOW was there with three in tow,
Caught up with a few there.
Was going to hit the pub later that afternoon to catch up with Brett and the guys from Sydney and anybody else interested in long story's and quick lies[emoji849].
Sorry guys one of our group has had cancer twice so hot days are not the best we unfortunately had to bale out after lunch.

But still had a great day will be back next year hopefully.

    Cheers Matt

I was there as it opened so was able to see some of the stands before the crowds. Great selection of trades and well worthwhile. I had to leave around midday. Kyneton was really buzzing so the Fair is great for the whole area.

We got there early - about 9:10, after stopping at a garage sale just up the road. Fencefurniture, Fletty and Shanesmith80 were already waiting at the gate so we joined them for a chat while we waited for the gates to open.

    Here's a few likely suspects.
