Yes. One day we were all sent home early without warning. Then at lunch another day I was tild not to come in the following day as all are having one day off a week. I went out and applied for three jobs and could have had any job. Took the best job though not the highest paying. Just had to wait out two weeks till I could start new job.
Two weeks on and the new job is much better than what I left by a long shot.

Morning all ....
Quick question to those who helped with a kids project last time and those who might be willing to do it again this year coming.
Would you prefer the kids day on Fri or Sat?
The public holiday is the Monday so the weekend will def run Sat, Sun, Mon. If there were enough interested in coming a day earlier I could do the kids thing on the Friday and have the rest of the weekend for us the forum members plus other woodworkers.
For those not up to speed, last GTG I had an open day for homeschoolers. It provided opportunity for these kids to have exposure to woodworking. Some of the projects included making a mallet, pen, pencil box, puzzle box and a dolls furniture.

Not sure if I will be a starter next year, but Saturday would be better for me in that it saves a nights accommodation.

At this stage we’re planning on a day visit on the way to Alice Springs.
So we would love to catch up with everyone on the forum day.
Cheers Matt,

Sorry Dave, we will not be able to attend this time as we have a family GTG on Phillip Island.
Will catch up with you later. Hope you have an enjoyable weekend.
