    Thanks again PAR. You've gone to a lot of trouble to spell out a sequence of practical steps - that's going to be really useful. It'll be at least several months before I can actually commence work on Windrose as I just have too many other things to do beforehand, including 3 - 5 months work in Vietnam coming up soon. I took a couple of shots of the outside of the hull to show you the cracking of seams now after 5 months out of the water, mostly in warm, dry weather. The widest crack you can see would be about 4mm. The first shot is from the bow, the second from the stern. The cracking on each side is virtually identical. Rick

    I would only go for laminated frames now.

    Having rebuilt a lot of old boats, I truly believe this is the way to go.
