Default Building a floor in an aluminium boat with a wooden frame

I seek any advice from anyone who has undertaken a similar job in building a floor in an aluminium boat. Preference on wooden removable floor.

Do you mean a ply floor on al framing? or on timber framing?

I've done a ply floor in a fibreglass boat. I use 12mm ply and in some sections where there was to great a span, I added some stiffening plates to the underside, also made from 12mm ply.

I used structural ply (i.e. a-bond) and painted it (with epoxy enamel) and carpeted it.

The carpet was marine carpet, glued down (with construction adhesive), folded over and stapled to the underside.

Where the floor sits over FG I use SS screws to attach. Where it is over metal, I tapped the metal and use an SS M8 countersunk allen head bolts.
    Cheers.

    Vernon.
