Mauve . . .I've found it's best for most guys to just go ask the wife, as they have a much better "feel" for these sort of things, other wise, nearly everything in the world would be black, white, gray, some sort of camouflage or fire engine red. Lets face it most guys don't have a lot of color sense.

I've always puzzled over why Quintrex paint the bottoms of their boats white, and the insides hi-vis yellow/orange.

Surely it would make better sense to do the inside soft grey or some other
pleasing cool colour, and the bottom the hi-vis. After all, you want to be
seen bottom-up far more so than the other way.

So I'd go yellow or orange for the bottom & ask the missus what looks nice
    with it for the top-sides.

    cheers

I'd say it had a lot to do with marketing AJ. Brand identity.

Though yellow is one of the great things to spot other objects against.

Note how many lamborghinis are yellow. It shows off everything from the dark of the windows to any chrome bits they want to add.

If you drop you sidecast reel on the bonnet of a lambo it will be easier to spot than on the bonnet of a ferrari.

I really love solving this type of practical problem!

Hell Mik if you dropped a bait caster on the bonnet of a Lambo cost of fixing the scratch is is to scary to contemplate , and we all know the Ferrari go faster being red .Yellow on the inside white on the bottom only so you know which way is up
