    Default Goat Island Skiff

Just recieved the plans for GIS. Question- the hull dimensions, are they measured from the top edge of the ply or the distance between sheer and chine 491mm---672mm along the bottom, not quite sure where to start this measurement, ??? For instance the front says 672mm. is this from the top edge of the ply or from the shear which is 49mm from the edge of the ply??

    thanks
    James

It seems from the plans that it is measured from the edge, just want to be sure.

    Default GIS Panels

    Hello all
I built a GIS (named TAKKA) last summer in France (near Cognac).
The "Panel Offset Drawing" gives all necessary informations....where to start.....spacing...grid..etc
Reading this sheet ....bottom left handside down = "Start from this corner"...idem for the sides (upper right)
The corners are indeed the starting points.
Please do NOT skipp the (nice) warning for bottom pannel "Cut 20mm outside bottom panel"....nice to have some "extra" when "closing" the whole boat with bottom panel
Just follow instructions and measurments..it DOES work..great boat
    Happy building.
