Hi Vintner, If you going glued lap then Tom Hills "Ultralight Boatbuilding" book is good and Iain's 'Clinker Plywood Boatbuilding Manual" could be handy.

I thought I'd seen a build somewhere. This thread on the Caledonia Yawl Forum may help.

For a How to Build a Glued-Lapstrake Wooden Boat book I can also recommend John Brooks.

Hi Mike, my son Edward has been blogging his Shearwater build on there. It seems the site was attacked and went missing. Yesterday it was back with a lot of Edward's post missing. Just now it says domain has expired.

Ed's pretty fed up about loosing so much work. I think he has a copy of his posts and I reckon he should start his own Oughtred blog site. It's a shame there is not a really good Oughtred site, although I understand Iain has a PC now.

I've been trying to find some build threads as well and have been trying to join the yahoo group without much luck.

Pity about the CY forum some interesting stuff on there.

I hope Edward does start a blog he is doing some really nice work. Better still start a thread here.
