    Default Launch of a Hartley Vamp power boat

    Hi all,
    Earlier this month, my family and I launched our Hartley Vamp (Vixen 15). The boat has been under construction for many years (plans likely purchased by a previous owner in the 1980's/early 90s) and I have been building it since 2005. Hoping it provides many years of service to my family. Thanks to all those on this forum who's ideas and experience have helped me through the years. Below is a photo of the boat taken at Batemans Bay, NSW. Thanks

    Looks great. Love the superstructure. I finished off a 14'6'' Gadabout in the 70's and enjoyed many years of use in north Qld fishing and crabbing with my family. Whitewood

    Yes, there has been a number of occasions where people had not realised it was a wooden boat. I have even been asked where the "molds" I used ended up. I have even pointed out the timber framing visible in the cabin area to convince someone that it was timber. In some respects, the cabin looks almost contemporary.
