    Default Oh &^%$#$

You know that old addage "Measure 3 times cut once"? Well, I am here to tell you that it works really well IF you cut to the correct measurement....

    2 1/8" x 1 3/4" just became 1 3/4" x 1 3/4".........

    That would be the length....

There is another old saying, "Once you cut it off, you can't put it back". Well, I just happend to have a superfine ripping blade in the table saw which almost planes the wood smooth as it cuts so.... I Have just put it back and, once it is sanded you will never be able to tell that I should not be allowed anywhere near woodworking tools

The real problem here is that you haven't kept up with the times. These days the saying is "Measure once and a bloody mobile phone rings" .

    Glad to hear it's fixable.
    Cheers, Bob the labrat

Measure once and.... the phone rings!
