Allowing ventilation in and around the ribs is pretty important, as I'm sure you know. Sometimes it's unavoidable, but try your best to permit the natural flow of air from the lower spaces up, using the gaps between the ribs. A natural convection current sets up and can be a wooden boat life saver (literally).

couldn't agree more, with old Carmen it was a constant battle to keep mold at bay, she used to stink of chlorine as the deckhead was always going green, until, I put a full size dorade box over the front hatch which kept out the rain but allowed fresh air thru the boat, then the swallows discovered the opening, another story of bird poop thru the interior. lol

since the last post the interior is all but complete, just some varnish work to go. The boat has now been completely rewired and new panel and LED cabin lights fitted. Today I picked up an Airrmar B60-20 transducer and Raymarine i40 depth sounder., using a spun glass tube fixed to the hull for the transducer, deadrise of 40 degrees and the transducer is 20 degrees so some fairing work to be done.

Its been a while since last post, Carmen is ready for a paint job, the mast and boom have been stripped back to bare metal and the boom has been treated with Everbrite, about ready to also replace all rigging, halyards, blocks and sheets. Looking at a launch xmas, fingers crossed.
