    Default Wayyyyyyyyy off topic!

But since I only post in this section, you have to bare with me!

And it is slightly boat related! The case was made from left overs from
my boat, cedar. The back is from the mast, 3/16 ply.

Very nice, did you do the etching.

Cool if it chimed like a ships bell a happy hour reminder perhaps.

    Cheers

Yes I do the etching, it took about three hours. It chimes, here is the
    sound.

Sweet looking clock, but I think the forum rules say you have to share your technique for etching the glass

    Well, it is very simple.

First I clean the glass real good. Then I cover it with Magic Cover.
Then I glue my pattern to the cover. Cut it out, apply Armour Etching
Compound and wait ten minutes. Then wash it off with HOT water.
Then touch up a little, rewash and it is done.

This is the only pic I could find, you can buy one roll
at a craft shop. about $3 I think, and it is a life time
    supply.

One I did today for a pendulum clock. It took about four hours
    total.

BTW: If you do text, you need to do it in reverse so the etching is on the inside.
Keeps it clean that way and makes cleaning the outside easier.

    Nice anchor Papa. Very ornate.
Looks good enough to go on the mantle-piece when it's not doing boat duty

    cheers

The house was done when we got married. So I didn't have to ask!

The models are all gifts, store bought China made, but they are
pretty. I have about twenty of them, I rotate from time to time.

    Thanks for the comments.
