Green Island 15 mast and sail plan
I have recently purchased a second hand Eve 16 based on the Green Island 15 design by Mike Roberts. The boat is missing the main sail, boom and the top part of the gunter rigged mast.
Is anyone able to provide me with the original plan or specifications for the mast, sails and rigging?
Additionally, would anyone like to recommend a good sail maker or builder in Melbourne for the mast?
Thanks.
(The Eve 16 is a glued lapstrake version of the Green Island 15 with a wood strip bottom).Last edited by dduja; 12th January 2012 at 06:53 PM. Reason: More information

It might be worth contacting Ross Lillistone at www.baysidewooden boats.com.au. He is based in Queensland, but he is familiar with both the Green Island Skiff and Eve. Ross making a quality mast and freighting it down to Melbourne could be a consideration. Alternatively, check out his bloggs on making a mast yourself.
Ross has recommended a sailmaker to me that specialises in wooden boat sails, but the name escapes me at present. The sailmeker was also based in Queensland, but freight on a sail should not be too expensive.

Thanks Dairyman. I have been in contact with Ross recently but know he is busy. I've asked him for a copy of the sail and mast plan so hopefully I'll get a reply in the coming weeks. Finding a mast builder and sail maker shouldn't be too hard as I'll try some contacts I found through the Wooden Boat Association in Melbourne. Was mostly after a recommendation. I don't have much space anymore to do my own woodwork and I'm really just after the dimensions of the boom, spar and main sail so I can have them made up.

you could also try contacting Mike Roberts at Headland Boats.
It is his design after all...

Re: Green Island 15 mast and sail plan
Hi
I am currently building my Green Island 15 and can offer you a copy of plans for sail and spars. I also have Mikes contact details floating around somewhere if that would also help. Message me if you're interested.
Cheers
Andrew
