can a hobie pro angler be built in timber?
gday guys Ive recently found my boat of choice for fishing and crabbing problem it is boring plastic no class hehe i was wondering if any one has seen plans similar to a boat like this, it's a Hobie pro angler pedaled powered i was hoping to build simaler in timber and buy the mirage drive from Hobie, and my favorite looking timber is sheoak so i would love to the decking with inlays using it
ive looked and looked but cant find anything yet

Unfortunately, that is a fairly unique design, so similar plans don't currently exist. This doesn't mean some enterprising person couldn't do one in veneer or maybe strip plank.
On the other hand you could paint a faux wood grain on the puppy and call it good to go. Use a green tint and tell everyone it's pressure treated to prevent rot . . .

And also on the Jem Watercraft site: have a look in the builder logs forum, particularly at page 7 of "Dan's Pelagic".
The Pelagic is (I think) a forerunner of the Sabalo and Dan has built it to accept a mirage drive. The pictures relating to the mounting are on page 7 and should give a good idea of how to approach it. Can't remember for sure but I suspect someone here in Oz is doing something similar.
If you want something a bit different to the Sabalo contact Matt at Jem - he does individual modifications/plans although there is a charge for this.Cheers, Bob the labrat
