If you are able to profile the edge of your boards then a reverse bevel along the top of all the doors and drawers is one way to go.

This leaves only the shadow line of the finger gap visible from the front.

You can get "tip catches" for doors. They hold the door closed and you push the door in to release the catch, whereupon it opens far enough for you to grab the edge with your fingers and open it. This way you wouldn't need any handles or pulls at all. Not sure if something similar is available for drawers though.

Yeah Mick, you can get touch catches for drawers but they are big and bulky things.

Salice showed their new push catches (PUSH-System) at Interzum 2005 in Cologne, Germany.

A slight pressure in the center of the drawer front self-opens the drawer fully, regardless of the weight. The push mechanism is integrated into the drawer runner.

expensive;
a real pain to fit.
