New Kitchen, Brisbane questions
Hello
I am just about to start building a new house and am pricing finalising our new kitchen layout etc. The Kitchen look hopefully going to be a modern style kitchen to suit the new house.
I have recently got a quote (my first) from a kitchen company which i knew would be a bit pricey but was a lot more than expected. The kitchen is large, but the price of the cabinets etc seems extremely excessive.
I am looking to try and reduce the cost by doing some of the work myself, carcass install, via flatpack or custom build.
We have 1 x 4.2mtr long bench top and 1 x 3mtr island breakfast bar, which we would like in a stone, and would like to have the doors in a glossy finish, vinyl/2pac or other recommended. we have two young children so that needs to be considered.
If someone could offer any advice based on experience or where i can find the following in North brisbane, it would be much appreciated.
-Stone mason or similar in north brisbane to supply and install caesar (or similar) stone direct rather than going through a large company and incurring lots of big markups.
- A decent cabinetmaker OR A smaller kitchen company
- a good place for glass splash backs.
Where i might be able to find some pop up electrical sockets in Aus. These are the type that "pop" up out of the bench. I have seen them at "shows" but can only seem to find ones in the UK. Has anyone had experiences with these?
Thanks if you can help, i know there were lots of questions.
