Book on the Tasmanian Coastal Trade
A lot of years ago I read a book on the Tasmanian coastal trade and wondered if someone here might know of it. The book's title IIRC was partially "Barking Dogs &............) and was written by a woman who if I recall was the daughter of someone prominent, perhaps another author and she perhaps crewed on these boats. Has anyone got any recollection or even read this book?

Who is Garry Kerr ???. Maritime History, Books, DVD's by Garry Kerr
Someone you should get acquainted with ! .
He has written a book , and maybe has a DVD out on the subject too.
He researches extensively on whatever he is writing about.
And is a really good bloke.
I reckon if you contacted him , if he didn't know , he would know someone who did.
His boat is out now (in Tasmanian waters) , but he will answer still , whether he is out or not.

I have been slack and haven't chased it up and my major excuse is I have forgotten all about it. While I am here I read another book which I would love to read again about a bloke who converted an 18 foot sailing boat and sailed it to the USA on his own somewhere in the 1920's to 1930's, certainly between the wars.
