It used to be that when you went back in to edit a post you made there was an option to delete the post. It appears (or at least to me) that the option is no longer available.
Am I missing something or has it been removed?

    Thanks,
    Dallas

I'm replying here so I can test DJ's response - I have also found it impossible to delete posts where I previously was able to. Didn't know about advanced edit though.....so let's see.

EDIT: Nope, no advanced edit button, and no delete post button.

If you delete posts which have other posts after them, couldn't that throw the true meaning of the thread into disarray? Not sure it's such a great idea.
if you thought the info you posted was important enough to mention, why delete it?

    Regards,

    Rob

This post might explain why Dallas wants to delete a post

Occasionally posts get duplicated due to either Internet or forum glitches (I've seen both). Occasionally I have changed my mind about wanting to post, or it has become apparent that I have misread something and my post didn't make much (or enough) sense in retrospect.

I have even seen people make fired up very aggressive posts late at night after what must have been too much alcohol consumption, and then severely edit them the next morning when they realised just how out of order it was. Perhaps deleting the post might have been a better idea if they'd have had the option.
