Well I've checked both in my junk folder and my ISP's junk folder, and they are not there.

Oh well, it was worth a look just in case.

That's about the extent of my suggestions, just as an aside I am receiving my notifications no problems. Have also checked with 2 other other members and they are experiencing any problems either.

    Thanks for the try.
I have just checked my profile and settings, and they all appear to be in order, including my email address, which in any case I know is working because I receive all thread messages except the daily update.
I note that I am also set to receive a "weekly newsletter" - is there such a thing? If so I don't receive that either.

PS Just checked my ISP email settings, and there was a setting there to delete spam - I have just changed that to tag it instead and send it to my junk mail folder. So we'll see tomorrow whether that fixes things. My ISP is iinet, which is a pretty big supplier, so i'm surprised that others wouldn't also be affected if they are deleting things as spam.

Strange tho is that I still get notifications from the Metal forum and all settings were transferred from here and I have changed nothing on here or there. Yep not in spam.

If it is iinet seeing it as spam it may be that the metalwork forum has a smaller delivery list, and so escapes being viewed as spam?

When we got a new email server a couple or so of years ago we were allocated one that unbeknown to us had been used extensively for spamming and was black listed all over the place. Couldn't change it and were on probation for around 6 mths because of that. We passed with flying colours but it is possible that some servers may still see mail-outs from us as spam. I very much doubt it, but you never know.

WWF sends out an absolutely massive amount of emails per day with updates, birthday greetings, notifications, etc, etc.

MWF sends out but a minute fraction of the amount WWF does so that could account for you getting MWF info but not WWF. But who knows.

I can't find any problems and other than you two there hasn't been an outcry from the masses which still makes me think that it's something at your end or local to you, possibly auto deletes from your service provider, or security settings are too high. Even an auto program upgrade or similar may have effected the way messages are being received.

Still waiting to see if anyone else has thew same problem. To date that's a no.

    Cheers - Neil

PS Just out of curiosity.... Are you using an iThing (iMac, ipad, iPhone, or any other sort of apple thing) or are you using IBM/Microsoft/clone of some sort.

Last first a PC desktop Neil. I have no problems getting notifications fro another forums that would easily send out as much if not more. I will say I have no idea if they were blacklisted.

Interesting that would mean the listing would have to effect numerous ISP's not to mention large variety of email specific ie: yahoo?, bigpond?

I was sure I saw others mention similar hassles in another thread but can't locate it. I had tried when starting this one.

Oh well things have slowed to a ducks waddle on the forum not much happening, where once "Todays Posts" was 6 pages worth its lucky to be 3 or even 2.

What I found strange about it all was I was still getting notifications of "Likes" etc then nothing at all.

Well, it's been two days since I changed my ISP spam setting to tag instead of delete, and nothing's come through as spam.
I still get all likes and other thread messages. Just not daily updates. (or the weekly newsletter if there is one). So unless you are using a different sending email address for different product I'm struggling to see what I can do at my end to rectify things.

Which explains why there were only 2 people reporting having a problem.

Big Shed, I don't think it explains much at all from a technical perspective. I have three email addresses, and I have now tried all of them in turn, and none of them deliver the updates, although all of them deliver me normal thread messages. I have a support request in with my ISP, but as i cannot be the only iiNet member of the Forum, I'm struggling to see how they could be blocking the daily and weekly updates. BTW, none has yet confirmed that there is a weekly update sent out - I queried this in the dialogue above.
I don't think you really know how many people are in a similar boat - finding the right place to post on this subject wasn't easy for me - and then there are warnings about posting in the right place. I was looking for a stream called admin difficulties or the like.
(Please realise that i'm not complaining about assistance since posting.)

Correct, we can't know unless people report problems. So far that has been a total of 2, since then 1 has solved the problem his end. You are reporting you are still having problems, so that leaves 1.

Without trying to belittle your problem, wouldn't you think that if the problem was at the forum end we would see a lot more reports from people?

And to the best of my knowledge there is no weekly update being sent, we did send out a forum update for a little while and copped a lot of grief from members who called it spamming.

As for finding it hard to know where to go for help with a forum problem, fair go, look at the title of this sub-forum and where it is located on the forums page.

    Big Shed,
I know how to subscribe/unsubscribe to a Forum. Are there any other Forum settings under my control that I can check? (I have confirmed that the thread settings are all working fine.)
