Default Requesting status change to market place threads

Oh great powerful wise ones...when an item has been sold in the market place and the topic status needs updating, do you prefer a simple last post stating SOLD for someone to find, or a report submitted on the original post requesting the change, or both? The instructions aren't clear as to a "best" method.

I've been doing both but presume that a report is easier/quicker than someone poor bugger monitoring all the threads. But at the same time I don't want to add to the mods' message load with an unnecessary report.

    Ta.

If you report the thread the mods are sure to see it, if you post in the thread we usually see it, but it can be missed (nanna naps and all that)

    From the Market Place "constitution":

    7. Status updates. When an item is sold you are obliged to SAY SO in the thread so the moderators can close it, or, if we miss that, click on the symbol in your first post and ask the mods to mark the item as sold, withdrawn, etc. Sellers should also state in the thread who they have sold to as soon as is practicable.
