Default Thread that crashes Firefox

G'day.

I am subscribed to this thread but I can no longer read or post to it, well, I can read it bit by bit 'cos everytime I open it, before it finishes loading, FF crashes.

I have sent a report to Mozilla.

I am using Windows 7 64bit & Firefox 8.0.1

This is the offending thread.

Just tested it with IE, I can open it OK but... I can see now that FF locks up at the pic in Scribbly Gum's post #10.
In IE it just shows up as a red cross & it won't open.

Post #10 does take a while to get past! My page stalled for about 5 seconds till I could see the next posts. Something about the quoted image?

No problems here (FF 4.01, Win 7 64 bit, 8 gig RAM)

Yes I think that was my fault.
I tried to load my photo into my post but it stubbornly refused to do so and I can't edit it - don't know why.
Mods might have to delete that part of my post or the whole post if necessary.
Ssssoooorryyyy!
I still don't know what I did wrong.

Thanks Acco, have been trying to open that post for editing and it won't even do that, so something is drastically out of whack here.
The small box with the red x doesn't show up on my screen at all.

May have to resort to deleting the post and ask SG to post it again, without the quote this time perhaps?

That would be my suggestion as well, I did check the url for it and it did cause a problem, so would delete and ask SG to post again

Deleted SG's post as I couldn't open it for editing and asked him to re-post, sent the original text to him in a PM.

Yep its the image that scribblygum added that does the problem. It works in firefox 2.0.0.20 as well. (If it ain't broke don't fix it I say). Its listed as 2,169828 characters long. I was going to list but its huge. If he deletes the lines above to the one below that should fix it for those having trouble. Ie will automatically fix html errors usually.

Am I the only one updated to FF 9.0.1?
Get with it, it's 2012.
Not that I think it would have helped, I never tried it while the problem was there.
