Default Website is slow to access

It seems forever now, and I have just put up with it, but it is worse today, so ...

I visit other forums, all overseas. Connecting to Woodwork Forums takes many times longer than any other website. I can wait 30-60 seconds (or longer), even to refresh a screen. Is there a reason for this? Something I need to attend to on my side of the wire?

It is the case with all my laptops (MacBook Pro, and the current is a new 13" top of the line model with 16Gb ram and a TB hard drive) and iPad. I tend to run Chrome, and more recently Brave (which is a speedier Chrome). My internet connection is NBN via iiNet. My suburb (Rossmoyne) is not the greatest for reception, but this should be relative across the Internet, and WF definitely lags behind other sites for loading up.

    Regards from Perth

    Derek (trying to understand)
