1st Major work - a cot!
Hi All,
This is my first major work - a cot for my son Jack who's now 6 weeks old.
I took an old run down cot and used it as a template for the new one.
It all bolts together and can be taken to bits for transport. Just a bit more sanding and then staining and it's all done.
I checked the standards website and made sure it's all legal (most of which is common sense!).
My workshop has the Triton saw, Triton router and a few other tools (bench drill, belt sander etc).
I'm quite pleased with the final finished work - can't wait to get on with the list my better half has for me!
James.

Very nice indeed. But watch out for if you keep doing such good work the list of your better half will be never ending.

Peter.

Nice work and good to see it is made from plantation timber. Congratulations on the new arrival and I'm sure he will enjoy your work as well.
Cheers,
Rod

Nice work on the cot james, should look good once its all finished. Atleast one of the bonuses of an expanding work list, is the opportunity to expand the list of toys needed in the workshop.

Excellent work James but you forgot the lid.

Good one James, all you need now is a non toxic finish for it. I will be interested in what you use to complete the project.
Kind Regards
Mike

Well, it's finally finished! I used Wattyl stain & varnish (after they said it was non-toxic after a 2-3 week cure period) in Teak colour to match the rest of the house.
