Thanks everyone - an unexpected end to woodworking - Tom and I are separating, so it means division of assets etc and all that yukky stuff. We're going to organise the bits and pieces we have and then maybe next weekend have a mega garage sale of all things woodworking. So look out for that posting, as there will no doubt be some bargains for those of you in the Brisbane area (or whoever will travel!). Over the 7 years we've been together, we've managed to accumulate some gear! I guess it's like they say, nothing lasts forever, I was just naive enough to think it would.
Cheers
Dan

Sorry to hear you are still going down that path Danielle.
Any chance of just dividing up the stuff rather than selling it? You both lose by selling.

I'm oldish.......don't know either of you....except for your work.........my only comment is don't have a garage sale........you both lose selling to some dickhead who will want a discount.
If its over....after that amount of time.....surely you can each make a list of the tools you want/need.....to continue and then sell toasters or other stuff to work out a compromise.
Oops.....!
Sorry, don't sell to have an equitable split....it will never give you back what you spent.

Sorry to hear about your split Danielle. It would be good if you could divide the tools rather than sell them at a loss You both do such great work.

I'm sorry to hear about this guys...... and I'm sorry it has taken this to prompt me to let you know that I have always loved the pieces you have created. I am writing it now in case you decide to leave the forum for a while. I have found your works to be top class and always having your personal touches, that is important to me.
I hope the next little while is not to painful and I do hope that woodworking is not lost from you for ever (maybe it needs to be for a while to dissacociate, but hopefully the love for it will return)
CuCheerio.
Shannon
