    Default Birds-eye Qld Maple Table

    Had this table made a few years ago,from maple that i had milled on the Atherton Tableland.The slab was around 1200mm wide and intensely 'Birds-eyed.The boarder in Maple as well

    Suberb Mapleman!
    Just a question - is that a floating panel or is it just mitred onto the slab? If so how did you allow for expansion and contraction with the change in weather etc if it's not floating?

    Amazing bit of wood.Next time you get a log like that how about getting it sliced into veneer so we can all have a bit of it ?
