Bookshelf for my kids
This is my first attempt at Greene and Greene inspired furniture. I used finger joints that are proud of the sides. All joints are pegged except that they are round pegs rather than square ones found in Greene and Greene. The shelf is made stable with breadboard ends. A cloud lift inspired inlay is done out of oak on the ladder frame. The back is shiplapped. All edges are rounded with a block plane. The back is finished as well as the front.
Any comments are welcomed. As this is my first attempt, any comments will steepen my learning curve. Thanks in advance!
My next project is a tool cabinet build to practice the finger joint. Maybe I'll attempt square pegs this time. Stay tuned.
