Thanks Jill! Just what I needed to see. I like the sewing room having the iron in there and those shelves will be full before you know it

Thanks so much, Masoth! Good idea on the video - I'll keep it in mind!

Thanks again, Wendy! There are even shelves in there for each child's clothes, so I can sort straight from drier/line (since this is in the laundry) & they can collect them from there. So, in theory, everyone should always be able to find all their clothes, without any "Mum, where's my..." calls!!! Your laundry will be fantastic! Have fun!

    Cheers,

    Jill

Paint that ironing board bright green, slap a fin on the bottom and it's almost an exact replica of my first surfboard...ahh memories

is all still cruising along there nicely Jill, by the look of it getting awful close to finishing her off too.

Thanks Beryl! I'll have to get organised with covers for the ironing board, do some varnishing, and it will be all functional. I'm glad you like it all!

Hi Wayne - lol about your surfboard! Not too long till we're done, now, alright. I'm looking forward to doing a lot of other activities, like quilting, gardening, more artwork, etc., once we're done!

    Thanks for your interest, everybody,

    Jill

Hi Jill, I am in admiration of all the work that all you have done.
You must be very happy and settled in by now, hope you had a good Christmad and New Year.

    masoth said it better
I've also crossed out every question I noted down to ask because someone else asked for me! There are no other words to use in admiration of what you and your family achieved.
(this is also a very unsubtle hint for an update )

    Default Update, FINALLY!!

Hello Tameriska - thanks - I needed a bit of a nudge! I was actually wondering whether I should go dig this up or start a new thread, so thanks! I sure don't have much to show yet, though!

Hi Pops and thanks. Our eldest daughter has been very ill for a bit, but better now - celebration material to say the least! So now I have school holidays, too, I am back into doing the finishing, at last. I've done the pantry fit out, and also have 6 kitchen doors on (as of about 2 days ago!), so they are still catchless and handle-less. They will have aged brass knobs, just so you can visualise it when you look at them!

Please excuse sawdust, etc. I took pics when Steve had just hung them - you'd think I'd have at least swept up the sawdust first!!! I need to fit a little jarrah trim board under the big drawers.

Pantry is all set up. It sure was fun to pack our stuff in (including bottles to completely fill those shelves on the left) and have a place for everything! Oh - and I should have taken the pics of it AFTER it was sealed, so just half close your eyes and picture it with a bit of a wet look!

    Happy New Year everyone!

    Jill

    Hi Jill,

Good to hear from you again. Glad to hear your cherub is better.

Your posts never fail to impress. Great work there. You and Steve should be very proud of your efforts. I like the light timber in the kitchen doors, beautiful.

Now that pantry !! I want one just like it. Can't beat a walk in pantry. I would not worry about the sawdust, we like seeing sawdust, particularly when somebody else's sweat has produces it.

Thanks for the update Jill. It is all coming together now.

Happy New Year to you and yours too.

    Cheers
    Pops

.....and here I was thinkin' they'd finished it all and were just staying quiet to avoid the house-sitter . Good to hear every things getting back on track at least.
Sawdust in the pantry is OK - remember the days when the butcher covered the floor with it!

    Hi Jill!!

Happy New Year to you and yours! So glad to hear you are all well now.

Great work on the Pantry. I like the arrangement of the shelving in the pantry and that you haven't used too much Jarrah in there, keeping it nice and light. I reckon you are going to have a ball of time filling it

So very good to see the cupboard doors are anything but ordinary. It's amazing how with just one shaping and a mix of the colours turns the doors from ordinary to extraordinary!

Cheers Jill! Looking forward to seeing more of your home as you settle in.

    Wendy
