    Default Chisel Rack

Fed up with my chisels falling off the pegboard

Two pieces of scrap pine jointed and cut to size on the Triton compact table.

    Routed with the GMC router.

Planed with my two mujis. (sheer joy )

Drilled with my new forstner drill bits ($49 for set of 16 from Carbatec)

Sanded back to 250, one coat of Estapol silk, sanded with 400 and 800 W&D, one coat of wax.

    Nice one.

I feel your pain, I suffer the same problem of every time I cause any sort of vibration on my bench the chisels fall from thier pegs. I think you have inspired me.

    Cheers, Evan

Bluddy nice, jchappo. I like the crisp finishing on all the surfaces and arisses. Pity you had to fix it to an ugly ole piece of pegboard.
Those are my principles, and if you don't like them . . . well, I have others.

A dozen?? Wimp As of yesterday I now have 29 chisels - if you don't count turning chisels of course

I'm still trying to decide how I'm going to house the set of Lie-Nielsen's I picked up yesterday. The leather tool roll is great - but slightly inconvenient in the workshop.

(Notice the stealth gloat there. Nicely slotted in I thought )

Maaaate, your workshop is getting crowded with all the new stuff, and the Karcher shop vac is getting lonely, so send a few things around to me.

Just helping out a mate of course.

    Thanks guys,

SWMBO also commented on no spare slots - so I explained that If I bought any more chisels, it would be a complete set and would need its own rack (laying the groundwork for another tool purchase

Zenwood, you're right about the pegboard, but she wouldn't have it in the lounge room - complete with the chisels, workbench, saw table ...
